crazier

sometimes, all it takes to make you feel better is a little dose of “hey, that happened to me too,” and maybe some of “look how much worse it could be.” i was telling tales to, well, most of my girlfriends this past week, reiterating the text of that lame-ass “i’m totally into you, let’s not have a relationship” email i got by way of a brush-off from mr.nerdhottie, and got an almost universal response of, “WOW! i/a good friend/sister/etc has that same story!” and at that point they shared the details of some relationship that was going along positively, and then melted down for no apparent reason when the guy in question basically went all weirdo.

and today, i stumbled across this great feature over at jezebel: “crap email from a dude,” in their words, proving that guys are every bit as crazy as they say chicks are. the comments on each are almost as priceless as the fun examples of trainwrecks, to wit: “You know what I love to do in these kind of situations? Reply to his email with nothing more than a simple UNSUBSCRIBE in the subject line.”

  1. THANK YOU for this website! Oh my god I’m laughing my ass off at my desk. I have one from a certain high school boyfriend I could send to them. 😉

  2. This is why I never act normal from the get go. Don’t surprise them weeks later, scare the hell out of them from the start, that’s my motto.

  3. I love that website – I so added it to my favorites – I have some stories that I could add to that website!

Seriously, I think I could remain single for the rest of my life as long as I occassionally got laid! 🙂
